My understanding is that these 2 questions apply to the ORIGINAL green card application (i.e. I do NOT know the answers to the following 2 questions (in italics) since my original green card was issued almost 40 years ago and lawyers for the firm where one of my parents worked for did all the original paperwork everything, except for the interview). Question 2: Can I leave the below 2 questions (in italics) blank? Obviously I would rather submit it online to ensure they receive it.
Given this, do I have to fill out the PAPER (PDF) version of the I90 (green card renewal)? That is freeform so I could put P38 as the answer for 'class of admission". I assume this is a mandatory question, but, given the lack of a 'P38' value in the list, I am not sure which other option I could select, if any. I am trying to submit my I-90 green card renewal application online the problem is that the question 'class of admission' dropdown list does NOT include P38 as one of the options.
This appears to be a "legacy" code (no longer used - see link below). Question 1: Trouble with 'class of admission' question due to legacy (no longer used) value of P38 - My 'class of admission' is P38 (as printed under 'Category' on my 2010 green card). Now onto my online I-90 (green card renewal) questions (NOT paper version): Since I was a kid when I moved here and my GC photo was of me as a child, I applied for and received my new green card (10 year expiration version) in early 2011.
(Got married several years ago and my wife is a US citizen parents also became US citizens). My parents and I moved to the US many many years ago and we got our green cards back then (the old version which does not expire). I need to renew my green card (10 year version) which is expiring in several months.
